Oh My God!!!

I just got back from watching Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen... now don't panic I'm not going to give away any spoilers here.

I really needed to see this movie, seriously. After watching Transformers the animated series, I was starting to think Optimus Prime was a bit f a pussy, but T:RotF shows us all again what a bad-ass he really is! I saw the first movie and LOVED it. But this one... this one is amazing, it beats the first movie hands down. Drop what ever you're doing now and go see it. There's action, comedy and drama. This movie actually makes the first one look like an advertisement for kids toys.

The only thing which spoiled the occasion for me was the amount of kids who came to see it. Here in Australia, the movie is rated M for mature audiences (which is classed as age 15+). This movie is not for kids, it's got swearing, sexual and drug references, not to mention some of the scenes are rather gory, even if they are robots. About 30% of the audience were kids, aged between 8 and 12, I bet there were quite a few parents who were shocked when the F-bomb was dropped within 5 minutes of the movie starting, and with some of the action... lets just say I wouldn't be surprised if there were quite a few nightmares tonight.

This movie is definitely one for my DVD collection when it comes out.
